Colts Defensive Staff Faces Potential Turnover as DL Coach Charlie Partridge Departs for Notre Dame.
Staff changes could create offseason questions for Indianapolis’ defense
The Indianapolis Colts will be looking for a new defensive line coach after Charlie Partridge left the team to take the same position at Notre Dame. Partridge spent the past two seasons with the Colts and was instrumental in developing the team’s defensive front before making the move back to the college ranks.
Partridge’s departure may not be the only change coming on the defensive side. There is also a “possibility” the Colts could lose defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo if he decides to accept a head coaching opportunity this offseason. Anarumo has always aspired to become a head coach in the NFL, so he can seize the right opportunity.
If Anarumo moves on, Indianapolis would be tasked with replacing both its defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, creating a significant offseason challenge for the coaching staff. As a result, the Colts could be facing multiple changes as they look to maintain continuity on defense.
