Colts beat the Tennessee Titans; improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2009.
The Colts have been on a roll, winning five straight games against the Titans!
The Indianapolis Colts (3-0) continued their hot start to the 2025 season with a dominating 41-20 victory over the division rivals Tennessee Titans (0-3) at Nissan Stadium, marking their first 3-0 record since 2009 when Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning led them to the AFC Championship. RB Jonathan Taylor's three rushing touchdowns powered an efficient Colts offense, while the defense forced a key turnover to stifle a struggling Titans squad now in a 0-3 hole and losers of nine straight dating back to last season.
Indianapolis dominated from the start, with CB Kenny Moore II intercepting QB Cam Ward’s pass on the third play, returning it 32 yards for a touchdown, putting the Colts up 7-0. They led 17-3 after Taylor’s 1-yard run. The Colts’ defense, led by DE Tyquan Lewis with two sacks, controlled the game. In the second quarter, Tennessee missed two crucial field goals and the Colts were able to add to their lead before halftime with a 36-yard field goal making it 20-6 at halftime. Indianapolis extended their lead in the third quarter with WR Michael Pittman’s 20-yard touchdown. However, the Titans answered with RB Tony Pollard’s 1-yard touchdown run and Taylor’s big 46-yard touchdown run increased their lead to 34-13.
After Ward’s touchdown pass to rookie WR Elic Ayomanor in the fourth quarter, Taylor added another touchdown, sealing the 41-20 win. Daniel Jones was sharp, completing 18 of 25 passes for 228 yards and a touchdown, while Taylor rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns. Pittman Jr. led the WR with 6 catches for 73 yards and a score. For Tennessee, Ward finished with 23 of 38 for 219 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Pollard scored twice but the Titans offense struggled. The Titans defense has been struggling noticeably. Colts extended their series dominance by securing their fifth consecutive win over the Titans and sits on top of the AFC South. Notably, Moore’s interception of Ward marked his 6th interception in 17 games against the Titans.
