A former Colts player takes a jab at the team.
"Tight end Kylen Granson's Bold Jabs: Throwing Shade at the Colts"
After securing a victory with his new team. Former Colts tight end Kylen Granson took a jab at his former team via an Instagram post. Former Colts linebacker EJ Speed disagreed with the decision. Speed signed a free agent deal with the Houston Texans.
“5yrs in, finally tasted a Week 1 win. Philly, let’s keep it rolling! #gobirds 🦅”
Granson, who was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2021 NFL draft from SMU, played 62 games with the Colts. During this time, he recorded 86 receptions, 958 receiving yards and scoring only one touchdown. Granson later signed a free agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Granson’s performance for the Colts in 2024 was largely viewed negatively due to a significant decline in his passing game production. This included a substantial decrease in targets and yards, poor pass-catching efficiency, and struggles with dropped passes. Although his run-blocking improved, the Colts have expressed a need for contribution from their tight end unit in the passing game. During the offseason, the Colts drafted Tyler Warren, a versatile tight end, in the 2025 NFL draft.
